Message from Muhammad Ameen Butt, Ameer (President) of Markazi Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadees Azad Jammu & Kashmir, on the occasion of the inauguration of the Clean Green Program:

To effectively combat climate change, it is crucial that we understand our basic life necessities and seek sustainable solutions for them. Air, water, food, and shelter are fundamental to human survival, and among these, air — which provides us with oxygen — is the most vital. Unfortunately, due to rampant deforestation and environmental pollution, this precious resource is at risk.

Forests are not only a source of oxygen but also play a key role in maintaining environmental balance, reducing temperature extremes, and stabilizing rainfall patterns. Their roots hold the soil firmly, preventing erosion and preserving the fertility of agricultural lands.

As the population increases, these problems are also escalating. The devastating effects of climate change, such as rising temperatures, melting glaciers, and unpredictable weather conditions, are negatively impacting our lives.

To tackle these challenges, the government and society must work together to formulate a comprehensive strategy. This should include adherence to sustainable development principles, protection and expansion of forests, and effective measures to reduce environmental pollution. Furthermore, it is essential to raise public awareness and promote environmental education.

If we focus on environmental protection while fulfilling our needs and increase forest cover in proportion to population growth, we can move towards a balanced and sustainable life. This is the path that can shield us from the adverse effects of climate change and ensure a better future for coming generations.

In light of the above points, Markazi Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadees Azad Jammu & Kashmir is launching the Green and Lush Campaign in Neelum Valley. Join us in this mission to preserve life and protect our beautiful environment.
